2010年1月，中國作家協(xié)會(huì)與《中國日報(bào)》合作推介中國作家作品項(xiàng)目正式啟動(dòng)。中國作家協(xié)會(huì)為能更好地向海外讀者介紹中國當(dāng)代優(yōu)秀作家作品及文學(xué)活動(dòng)，促進(jìn)中國文學(xué)走出去，增進(jìn)中國文學(xué)與世界文學(xué)之間的交流與融合，中國作家協(xié)會(huì)與《中國日報(bào)》合作于每周五推出“閱讀版”（Life Reading），一年約50期。此項(xiàng)目由中國作協(xié)創(chuàng)研部和《中國日報(bào)》特稿部具體承辦。

畢飛宇的小說，是屬于那種你讀了之后常常難以忘懷的作品。他不大端作家的架子，也不大拿創(chuàng)作的樣子，他的全部心力似乎就是把他對于人生的發(fā)見和人性的體悟，融入到作品故事的傾力營造，化入到人物個(gè)性的細(xì)切刻畫，而后用一種行云流水如日常生活的情態(tài)表現(xiàn)出來。
不僅《雨天的棉花糖》，“詩意理性”在畢飛宇早期小說創(chuàng)作的歷史中幾乎隨處可見，《孤島》、《敘事》、《楚水》等作品中無不活躍著“詩意理性”的身影。
大體可以2000年發(fā)表的中篇小說《青衣》為界，將畢飛宇迄今為止的小說創(chuàng)作分為兩個(gè)階段。在修辭方式上，前后兩階段的差別是很明顯的。

Writer Ye Zhaoyan is bent on a switch, after depicting "the reality of myth" in Hou Yi, 2006, a novel that reconstructs the ancient Chinese tale of Chang E and her self-banishment to the moon.
